Help Kol Emeth as we head into our wandering Jew phase –

Upcoming opportunities to volunteer:

The movers are coming on February 19th at 8:00am. We have only two short weeks to get us out of our beloved building…two short weeks. WE NEED HELP!
  1. We need people to come in ASAP and post pieces that we are not taking with us on Craigslist. We have most of the photos. This needs to be done Monday or Tuesdayif possible.
  2. We need people to help pack up boxes. We also still need boxes – larger ones for Pepe’s pots.
  3. We need people to answer the office phones so the staff can do what needs to get done.
  4. We need you to come and take things that we can’t such as books, desks, etc.
  5. We need help with some pieces of communications and with mailings.
  6. We need help with organizing the move.
We will be sending out information on where we will be on what days and times in the next few days. It is very important that you check your email!!!
For these tasks, please do not reply, just show up. We will be able to tell you what we need when you arrive. If you can’t lift or bend, don’t worry – there is something to do for people of all ages and abilities.  We need your help!

Other Volunteer Needs:

  • With everything going on during our move, we will REALLY need a lot of help with Mishloach Manot this year. Here are the tasks we’ll need:

    • finding and coordinating drivers
    • coordinating the college and young adult orders
    • List item
    • rolling scrolls
    • bagging hamantaschen
    • delivering bags to congregants
Specific dates and locations are being worked out right now, but if you can help, please let us know by emailing: purim@kolemeth.org

  • February 17th:
Bake something for our Kol Emeth weekend of transition, starting with our last Kiddush at the current site, after Shabbat services on February 17. We are soliciting goodies to make our dessert table groan under the weight of piles of sweetness.

Everyone is welcome in our egalitarian Jewish community
