The Torah gives us the puzzling command to “rebuke our kinsman” and not to hate our loved one in our heart. (Leviticus 19:17) Why would “rebuke” be a mitzvah?

We will sutdy these and many other questions about how to engage in difficult conversations – with loved ones who have hurt us, with others who have done wrong, or in charged political conversation. Study materials will be drawn from the Pardes Rodef Shalom Communities Program, and are offered as part o Kol Emeth’s participation in the worldwide 9Adar Project: Jewish Week of Constructive Conflict.
