Feb. 25 – The Story of Esther: What you never learned in Hebrew school

Please join Carol Booth for this informative and engaging Shabbat shiur!

“The Story of Esther — What you never learned in Hebrew school.”Have you ever really read the story of Esther — the Ganze (whole) Megillah? Do you think Esther won a beauty contest? Come explore the very adult side of this fascinating book and learn why part of the book of Esther is often read in a falsetto. This class will be a close reading of a few select passages and explore issues of sex, violence, gender roles, and power. Due to the adult themes, this class is recommended only for those B’nei Mitzvah and older.
