How to Prepare and Protect Our Synagogue From an Attack (G-D Forbid)

The world can be a dangerous place these days.
Maimonides stated, “It is a mitzvah for all Jews who are able to come and help defend their brethren to do so, and it is forbidden to delay their coming until after Shabbat.” This Community Conversation will be a panel discussion among local security experts, moderated by Bob Zeidman, about how we should prepare ourselves and our synagogue, and what to do if we find ourselves under attack.

Bob Zeidman Consulting is Chair of the Kol Emeth Security Committee and previously held the same position at Congregation Beth David. He was Chair of the Executive Committee of the Central Pacific Region of the Anti-Defamation League, and served on the ADL National Commission, which provides advice to Jewish institutions regarding security. Bob is also on the regional board of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces and is an advisor to the Clarion Project, which produces films and articles exposing the dangers of Islamist extremism while providing a platform for the voices of Islamic moderates and reformers.
