Kol Emeth’s successful teen Madrichim program provides our teens with an opportunity to give back to the community while providing creative leadership for younger grades during the Saturday morning Kol Shabbat program.

Kol Shabbat Madrichim (9th-12th graders) meet on Tuesday evenings as part of Kol High here at Kol Emeth. They plan weekly lessons for the 3rd-4th grade Kol Shabbat class, and meet on Shabbat morning to teach the class and lead parts of Junior Congregation. They also provide individual tutoring for students leading parts of the service and for those who are looking for a little extra help with specific prayers. Madrichim choose whether to be paid or to count their work toward community service hours.
Classroom Madrichim (8th-12th graders) work in the Religious School classrooms on Tuesday afternoons. They help teachers with small group breakouts, guide students who need extra help focusing, and help students gain confidence in learning Hebrew.
Friday Night Madrichim (8th-12th graders) meet approximately one Friday per month to help lead activities during our young family Friday night service and dinner. The Wednesday afternoon preceding the event is often a short prep time for these madrichim.
